SELECTED FOR “PERFORMATIVE EXPLORATIONS IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN" / URBAN FLUX, CHINA
The concept of this kindergarten project arose from the idea that the buildings will not only provide comfortable interior environments but are also capable of improving the environment as an expanded space for children's daily activities. High temperature and no wind flow would be the problem waiting for improvement. Therefore, a bidirectional process was developed in which a CFX analysis was used to evolve the architectural form in order to optimize the wind flow outside. In the bidirectional process, the starting value and even the final result was not what stood out most, but rather the process itself. A carefully constructed process would be able to alter the premium input if the value is not adequate by evaluating the results generated under the previous parameters.
